June 5th JAFFA, CAESAREA, HAIFA AND THE GALILEE
Before departing for the Galilee, we visit Jaffa and see a little more of Tel Aviv, where we will be spending more time for the PRIDE CELEBRATIONS. We then drive along Israel's beautiful Mediterranean coast, with sightseeing stops along the way at ancient Caesarea and modern Haifa, including the unique Bah'ai' Gardens and Shrine. We then continue on to Tiberius on the Sea of Galilee, for check-in at the Prima Galil Hotel.
Tonight's dinner is included in your tour. Our well-situated hotel affords a view over the town and the lake. After dinner, suggestions for an evening stroll along the lakeside (about 20 minutes walk away).
O/N Tiberius

June 6th EXPLORING THE GALILEE
We visit the historically-loaded Christian sites around the Lake, including Tabgha, Capernaum and the Mount of the Beatitude, then on to the fascinating but controversial Golan Heights, and the Banias Springs. We will visit a winery, perhaps with a lunch option (not included in the price). Return to our hotel, your dinner, at the hotel, is included.
O/N Tiberius

June 7th BEIT SHE'EN, JORDAN VALLEY, JERUSALEM
Check out and depart for Jerusalem, but first visiting the gay forest at Kibbutz Tuval (where you will be invited to plant a tree with your own hands - included). We will also visit historical Beit She'an with its Roman ruins, and then head south for Jerusalem, via Jericho, driving along the Great African Rift Valley (the Jordan Valley).
O/N Jerusalem

June 8th ANCIENT JERUSALEM More than three thousand years of history, religion and people who live side by side to this day. Church bells mingle with the sounds of the Muezzin's voice, in the Jewish quarter and all over town. During our two days here, subject to timing and logistical factors, we will visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Dome of the Rock and the Wailing Wall, all in short walking distance of each other. We will have a scenic panoramic view from the Mount of Olives to the Temple Mount and over the city of Jerusalem.
We will walk from the Lions Gate into the Old City, visiting the 4 quarters of the walled city of Jerusalem: the Muslim, Armenian, Christian and Jewish quarters, including the Wailing Wall. You will be able to roam through the Arab market, with its narrow alleys and small authentic shops. We will also visit the Mount of Olives with its churches, the Via Dolorosa, the Temple Mount (subject to the Muslim authorities and Israeli security). During our Jerusalem stay we will also have a bus tour of the modern capital of Israel.
One of our Jerusalem evenings will include a meeting at the Jerusalem Open House with the local glbt community with both Israelis and hopefully, also Palestinians. Our evening will also include an optional festive dinner at the famous Tmol Shilshom restaurant, gay-owned and very gay friendly. (Dinner not included) An optional cultural event (concert, dance performance, cinemateque screening etc. might be available for the other Jerusalem evening. Subject to availability and advance reservations. Information to follow).

We will also visit Yad Vashem (the Holocaust Memorial and Museum), where we will hold a brief memorial ceremony for the gay victims who perished under the Nazi regime. We then head south for the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth, visiting Qumran, where the Dead Sea scrolls were found, on the way. We will check in at the Spa Club Hotel, for one night of R&R but 2 days filled with unusual activities, including use of the hotel's spa facilities.

10th June DEAD SEA - MASSADA - TEL AVIV
After a leisurely breakfast (and for early risers, a swim in the Dead Sea) We visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Masada, with its amazing history, the mountain that has become a symbol of determination and heroism. It was here that King Herod the Great built his ancient fortress. We will also have an opportunity to visit the AHAVA Dead Sea Factory where the world-famous Dead Sea cosmetics are produced, and of course opportunities for swimming in the Dead Sea, for slathering ourselves with the healing black mud (bring your camera!).
We continue on to Tel Aviv: Welcome back to the Prima Tel Aviv Hotel. You can check out the gay beach, or for those who want to go to a pre-parade party or performance, rest up first. We will offer suggestions and tickets for events in Tel Aviv that evening. (Not included, information to follow, subject to availability)
